Contractor Calc respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site and how we handle it. By using the site you accept the practices described below.
What we collect
We collect minimal information. The calculators run entirely in your browser — figures you enter (contract values, dates, percentages) are not sent to our servers and are not retained beyond your session.
- Analytics: aggregated, de-identified usage data (pages viewed, device type, country) via a privacy-respecting analytics provider. No cross-site tracking.
- Contact form: name, email and message you submit, used only to respond to you.
- Server logs: standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) retained for 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie to remember your preferred state for calculator defaults. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Third-party advertising slots, where present, are clearly labelled and may set their own cookies — see the relevant network's policy.
How we use information
To operate the site, respond to enquiries, fix bugs, and improve the calculators and content. We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
Your rights
Australian residents have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 including access to and correction of personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email privacy@contractorcalc.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
